Signature presents, “Word of Mouth - Jazz Poetry.” This sample pack is an electrifying fusion of rhythm, rhyme, and soul. Featuring vocal artist Seraiah Nicole, accompanied by an in studio jazz quartet. Dive into a world where the beat of jazz meets the power of spoken word, drawing inspiration from the legendary history of the beat generation artists and the artform’s conception in black activist spaces. We even have seen a resurgence of this sound led by the likes of Kendrick Lamar’s spoken word jazz moments in TPAB to his recent album, “The Big Steppers.”

This release gives you access to loops from this in-studio recorded band, at Turtle Studios in Philadelphia, with spoken word, vocal melodies and harmonies laced over the rich warm sound of upright and electric bass, electric and acoustic piano, wailing trumpet and jazz drum loops that are the perfect foundation for your next beat! Whether you need a track intro, outro or a songstarter to drive you creation, there are so many options available with these offerings from such an amazing group of artists.

Featured vocalist Seraiah Nicole is a singer/songwriter who has work that intertwines spoken word, rap and singing; her multifaceted artistry has made waves in Philadelphia’s rich music scene. She is supported on this release by Grammy Award nominated songwriter Christopher Michael Stevens (trumpet, composer), Marcus Myers (drums, composer), Timothy Ragsdale on bass and Brandon Young on Piano.
